Any products that are powered by electricity, also emit electromagnetic energy in the form of radio frequency emissions, or RF frequency. These signals generally fall in the AM/FM radio range, and can be measured with any RF signal detector. The problem is these frequencies disturb other equipment in the area, causing interference. In video surveillance situations, it could be loss of picture quality in your cameras or monitors. Other devices nearby can also be effected.

In order for these devices to function in an environment, they will have to be Electromagnetic Compatible (EMC), so they do not disturb or disrupt nearby equipment. In order for EMC to work, you have two items, emissions of the RF signals, and immunity from the RF signals. Immunity is the ability of any electronic product to tolerate the introduction of electrical energy from electronic products near by. You should look at both emissions and immunity when setting up a video surveillance network.

The biggest cause of emissions in a network camera deployment would be using unshielded twisted-pair or UTP cables to connect the cameras near RF emissions, instead of using shielded twisted-pair (STP) cables. The difference between the two is that the STP version is a Class B FCC product designed for home use, which will have higher RF emission requirements. The UTP is a Class A FCC rated product with lower emission requirements, meaning higher emission rates that will cause the interference.

The main issue is when you run the UTP in an environment that has other electrical devices like lighting, motors, or other electronic devices that give off RF signals. For example, running a UTP along side or inside a conduit with 12 or 24 volt electrical line to power a light. In this case, you would want to use the STP cable, which will help to block the emissions from the electrical line.

However, when you are just running one cable to one camera and nothing is near it, there is no reason why you can’t use UTP cable, as there is nothing nearby emitting electromagnetic signals. Let’s look at the Pro’s & Cons of STP cables.

The Pro’s of Shielded Twisted-Pair Cable is that it blocks RF emissions so you have less interference problems, resulting in better video quality.

The Con’s are it is more expensive, and less flexible, so installations might be harder & will cost more.

Since you really don’t have to run STP to every network camera, it should not be a huge problem or expense. Unless you see that you have certain camera cable runs that could be an issue with other electronic devices nearby, for the most part, you don’t need to run STP to every camera. Instead, you can install the UTP cables for the rest of your surveillance system, and save the STP for those other areas.

Making sure you are protecting your video signals in areas that have high RF emissions is critical to achieving a successful network camera deployment, so every camera can be seen, and the results recorded for future use.

A civilian Army Engineer, responsible for conducting technical evaluations of training devices offered by different companies to be used to train soldiers, reported several unethical actions taken by his leaders during his ongoing 25 year career. The Engineer has seen leaders turn a blind eye to reported incidences such as racial discrimination, professional disrespect, time card fraud, and nepotism. In one instance, the Engineer served as a technical evaluator during a competition between several companies trying to win a government contract to provide a training tool for soldiers. While attempting to conduct his duties, the Engineer’s authority was seized in a coup-like fashion and his leaders edited documents to ensure a particular company won the contract. In another instance, the Engineer’s leader (an Army Officer) ordered him to take unlawful actions and retaliated against him when he refused and reported the unethical behavior. Other Officers assisted the initial retaliator by issuing the Engineer unfair performance evaluations and removing him from leadership positions. Although the Engineer repeatedly reported the continued retaliations, no leader has extended assistance. The Engineer’s pleas for help up his chain of command within the organization and to outside organizations including the Merit Systems Protection Board and the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission have not led to meaningful changes in the Engineer’s organization. An ethical leader would have fairly investigated the Engineer’s complaints in an effort to locate and address any unethical, immoral, or toxic leaders within the organization. Ethical leaders listen to their followers and offer beneficial interventions when necessary. As of the date this article was published, the Engineer was still in search of an ethical leader.

The voters select their leaders and expect their leaders, in turn, to take actions that benefit their followers (i.e., their constituency). The voters deserve a leader who respects the law and does not endanger the lives of others for personal gain. One presidential candidate who is working to gain the trust of the voters has violated federal law by mishandling classified information. She exchanged United States secrets, using a non-secure personal computer network, and those secrets were reportedly intercepted by foreign intelligence services. After being asked for certain email messages, the presidential candidate deleted everything from her computer’s hard drive and stated she did not save copies of the email messages. Investigators estimated over 2,000 of the email messages on the candidate’s personal server contained classified information.

The same presidential candidate was also accused of accepting money from special interest groups with the intention of influencing future laws to benefit those groups. The candidate reportedly accepted $20,000 from Saudi Arabian leaders. Some United States citizens question whether or not she will support the widely discussed release of a report that purports to substantiate the involvement of the Saudi Arabian government in the world trade center attacks of September 11, 2001.

The presidential candidate, while serving in the United States Senate, strongly supported trade policies that resulted in an uncountable number of jobs being moved to other countries and fostered an increase in the number of men, women, and children standing on corners holding signs seeking money and/or food. How can she be trusted to lead the voters in an ethical fashion? How can she be trusted to foster an ethical culture during her presidency? How can she be trusted? Many of the voters feel she cannot be trusted and are searching for an alternative-an ethical leader.

The citizens of the United States elected a President, several years ago, who told them he would bring positive change to the country. He promised to improve the economy and order his military troops to come home and cease fighting in foreign countries. Instead, the President doubled the country’s debt and greatly increased the fighting in foreign countries. The vast majority of the people killed in those foreign countries were not the intended targets. The President approved the use of un-manned drones to kill individuals in those countries and those killings were carried out against innocent people 90% of the time. During one timeframe, attempts to kill 41 men resulted in the deaths of over 1,000 people. Although the President acknowledged that drones often kill innocent people, he continues to order the use of drones to target people in foreign countries. The President’s actions have been viewed as dishonest by many of his constituents.

The citizens of the United States are also disappointed that their President supported laws that allow little boys to join little girls in the little girls’ restroom. During a time when crimes like rape and sodomy are on the rise, legalizing men to use women’s restrooms is unethical and decreases the level of trust citizens hold for their leader. The United States President’s actions show his lack of empathy for women-especially abused women. While many of the citizens of the United States, mostly those from certain communities, enjoy the thought of men in women’s restrooms, others find it repulsive and have questioned the values and morality of their President. The majority of the citizens are eager to replace the President in their search for an ethical leader.

When leaders foster a fair and trustworthy environment followers are likely to reciprocate with ethical and moral behaviors. Because leaders set the tone for what is viewed as acceptable, followers who perceive their leaders as unethical tend to turn a blind eye to the immoral and unethical conduct of their teammates. Other followers distance themselves from the unethical activity and hope for a change in leadership. Many followers find themselves on that seemingly never-ending search for an ethical leader.

In recent years, corporations have come to the realization that workplace wellness programs are beneficial to both employees and management, and more importantly, to their bottom line when it comes to profits. The building blocks of wellness programs may vary from program to program and from company to company, but overall, many wellness programs share many of the same characteristics and certainly the same goal – to improve the health of your employees.

On-site health screenings are either the most basic of the wellness program building blocks, laying the foundation or starting point when it comes to improving your employees' well-being. It is worth the time and effort to find a company that offers quick screening in 30 minutes or less, with a turnaround time of about four days to deliver results and ultrasound images. Craftsman is a line of tools that includes hand tools, power tools, tool boxes, lawn and garden equipment and many other items that you would find in a garage or work building. These tools have been sold by Sears since 1927.

A man by the name of Arthur Barrows was hired by Sears in 1927 to be the head of their hardware department. Arthur came up with the idea of creating a brand name for Sears that would set it apart from other manufactures. The name “Craftsman” was being used by Marion-Craftsman Tool Company. Arthur liked this name and offered to pay Marion-Craftsman Tool Company for rights to use the name. In order for a tool to be marked with the Craftsman brand, the tool would have to pass a very rigorous set of standards. The Craftsman brand was first used on a line of saws.

The Craftsman tools were first designed to accommodate farmers and were made out of cast iron and not hardened. They were ugly and would lose their shape fairly easy, but the design was perfect to fit a farmer’s budget. Arthur Barrows moved to be the West Coast Manger for Sears and hired Tim Dunlap to fulfill his position. At that time, America was starting to move into the automobile age and Dunlap saw the need to create tools designed to accommodate auto mechanics. He upgraded the quality of the Craftsman tools and added chrome plating to help improve the appearance of the tools as well as make it easier for mechanics to clean them.

The first Craftsman power tools were featured in the 1929 Sears catalog. These power tools were recognized in 1938 for helping to build the largest adobe building which was the Rocky Mountain offices of the U.S. Forestry Service. After this, the Chief Forestry Engineer declared Craftsman tools as a permanent part of the Service’s shop equipment.

Craftsman lawnmowers were first introduced in 1934. The Sears fall catalog introduced the Craftsman lawn and garden equipment that includes the new rotary power mower in 1948. In 1953, Sears introduced the first Craftsman riding lawn mower.

The warranty states “If this Craftsman hand tool ever fails to give complete satisfaction, return it to any Sears store or other Craftsman outlet in the United States for free repair or replacement. Because of the incredibly high reliability of these tools, Craftsman is the official tool used by NASCAR. Recently, the sport of gambling has been booming, especially because of Texas Hold-em poker. Everyone is familiar with draw poker, but Texas Hold-em adds a little twist to the game. Whereas a game of 5 card draw is all about the cards you possess, Texas Hold-em is mainly about reading your opponents and betting accordingly. There have been many cases where people who win huge tournaments do not have the better hand, but they were able to out-play their opponents to win very large pots. The key to being a good poker player is being able to determine the probability that you will win a given hand.

The other important skill that you will need in order to be successful in Texas Hold-em is the ability to read your opponent. You will need to figure out what your odds are, but there are a bunch of websites that can do that for you. I will explain how to read strong and weak bets, and also what to look for when your opponent plays certain bets.

A strong bet is one that is very common and can easily be seen. Generally, a strong bet is placed in one of two situations: when someone has a great hand or when someone is trying to knock someone else out of the hand. A strong bet does not necessarily mean that you have a good hand. A lot of the time, when a player bets a strong bet against a bad player, it is because they are trying to get them to fold their hand. However when a strong bet is placed by a bad player, that player wants to raise the pot. Unfortunately, they do not realize that most players will fold due to this. It always happens that the good players will use the bad poker player’s skill against them.

A weak bet is when a player decides to bet just over the minimum just so that they can see the flop (the first 3 cards dealt). In most cases, a good player will see this and make his opponent either fold or bet a higher amount. However, most of the time, a good player will not make a weak bet because they are already aware of their chance to win a given hand.

The first thing to learn on how to board up windows on a brick house is that you need to start by counting your windows and then measure the openings. Count on boarding all windows, sky lights, doors and any roof vents or places where wind could cause damage if it got into your house. If this is because you are leaving your home for a time and do not want your windows broken, you do not have to be quite so fussy.

To measure each opening from the inside to the inside horizontally on the exterior trim and vertically starting at the sill go to the bottom of the top trim. Add eight inches to both width and height to make sure the panel will overlap framing.

The plywood needs to be at least 5/8 inches but preferably greater exterior grade. Plywood is usually sold in sheets four foot by eight foot. Secure the panels at each corner then install the remainder, space the fasteners six inches apart starting at the center for windows four feet or under and three inches for more than four feet.

Most personal finance experts would agree that keeping your vehicle for up to 10 years is a good economical decision. The economics of keeping a vehicle that long are overwhelmingly convincing. So why is it so rare to find someone who owns the same car that long? After all, today most cars will keep working long after a couple hundred thousand miles. So, why do people keep buying a new car when there is nothing wrong with the one they have? Peer pressure? Maybe it looks out of date? This might be true, especially when the new edition undergoes major styling changes. Maybe it is because people start worrying about the likelihood of a major mechanical problem.

We have found that if you can keep it looking new through a proven strategy it will be much more difficult to make that new car purchase. So what can be done to slow down the aging process? How can a car be used on a regular basis and not age. There is no one particular activity, but rather several things that contribute to a common goal. The following is a list of ways to keep the appearance of your car looking like new.

1. By far, the number one way to keep your vehicle looking like new is to KEEP IT IN THE GARAGE AT NIGHT. Most people think the damage results from the grueling midday heat and dust that bake the dirt into the paint and plastic, however, the most destructive time is at night, when the cool moisture condensates on the surface of the car. This is the source of the problem. We live in a basin here in Los Angeles which is packed with automobiles moving about all day. The exhaust, pollution and road grime, rise up into the atmosphere during the hot days and are suspended there until the cool sea air moves in and captures the pollution in the moisture that will condensate on the car. That morning dew sitting on the horizontal surfaces of the vehicle is a sulfur /acidy toxic cocktail of all the junk in our air. It eats into the paint, the trim around the doors, yellows headlights and destroys the rubber parts. No test lab can recreate that! The moisture is not horribly bad, but if this process is done every night for 5 to 8 years, it will take its toll on the exterior.

2. Keep the vehicle under an overhang at night. The next best thing to a garage would be to keep the vehicle from getting dew on it at night. Reread the reason in the paragraph above. The next best long term protection is the overhang. (Car covers are helpful when the vehicle will sit at the airport for 2 weeks or in your driveway for a week. As a daily defense, it is a good idea, but with time it is a hassle as well as too dirty to put on the car. )

3. Regular waxing. Regular waxing is every 3 to 4 months or every 5,000 miles. So by the time your vehicle has 20,000 miles on it, it should have 4 coats of wax. Waxing gives the car a micro thin layer of protection from the elements. As the vehicle gets older, the attention to the exterior should increase. Occasionally, the paint should be polished to restore clarity to the surface. Polishing the paint every 1 1/2 years or ever 15,000 miles will increase the life of the wax, and maintain the paint in top condition.

4. Regular washes on the exterior will keep the vehicle free of dust and contaminants. The longer dirt and dust sit on the paint, the more likely it will start to adhere to the surface.

5. Paint protection film by 3M is the best way to keep the paint rock chip free. By applying this film to the bumper and hood, it will defend the original vehicle paint from damage. This film is removable and does not have any long term effect to the paint. Conceivably, this film could be removed in 10 years after installation, and the paint would look like the day it came off the assembly line. Truly the best long term solution for the everyday driver.

6. Window tint. Protect the interior from fading and drying out with a lifetime warranty film. During the day, the vehicles interior is vulnerable to the harmful effects of the suns UV Rays. Window tint blocks out 100% of the ultraviolet rays. It also reduces the internal heat and cuts down on glare. With regular interior detailing and window tint, the interior will look like the day it was installed. Also, window tint improves the comfort of the passenger and drivers.

7. Biannual cleaning of the motor will ensure proper visibility of fluid levels. It can improve preventative maintenance inspection and keeps the motor running cooler. Furthermore, mechanics respect a clean motor and are more likely to clean up after themselves.

8. Periodic removal of small door dings and dents. The cost of keeping your doors “ding” free is really reasonable and the process of Paintless Dent Removal is non invasive. It is impossible to keep a daily driver from eventually getting a door ding, but the good news is that they can be messaged out and restored to its original position. No painting or bondo is necessary and the vehicle maintains its original factory paint.

9. Deep cleaning Detail. Every 1.5 to 2 years the vehicle should get a complete detail. Most people will wait until the vehicle is so bad, something has to be done. For a potted plant, that is the equivalence of waiting until the leaves are turning brown before it gets watered.

10. Achieving a like new vehicle after 10 years will require preemptive or preventive care. Scheduled detailing appointments over a 1 year time period will help to keep the vehicle on track. The paint job cannot remind you it needs waxing. So do not wait until you notice the car getting a little shabby before you act. Lastly, the mechanical part of the vehicle is just as important. We strongly recommend the adherence to all schedule mechanical maintenance.

I recently wrote an article about my son and his sickly PS3 which developed a beeping problem, no it really was beeping and we fixed it by finding a guide online that saved us a fortune in repair costs. Well whilst I was looking for the PS3 repair guide I also saw one for an Xbox 360 and as my other son has one of those thought it best to get that too just in case his developments a fault.

It is my warped way of logical thinking, if I buy the inexpensive guide then the Xbox will not go wrong, if I do not it will and then I will not be able to find the guide again and it will cost me a fortune.

I can not believe the cost of these repairs when you send them back to the manufacturer and also they can take anything between 4 and 7 weeks to return it.

Another thing that concerned me when looking for these guides were the nuggets of advice from people who either really do not have a clue or were just being malicious. One said to wrap it in a towel which is a fire hazard and another suggested soldering using a complex diagram. The trouble with that is one false move and you have ruined the warranty and the Xbox 360.

So I feel these guides are worth their weight in gold and I have put the Xbox one away for a rainy day because you never know when you might need it.

Well, I started lifting weights about 6 months ago and nothing. Monday: Three hours in the gym, go home look in the mirror, guys you know how you look in the mirror before you jump in the shower pose for two hours with the hot water running, hot steam making you sweat so you look more ripped then what you really are, yeah fellas you know what I'm talking about. The rest of the week it's the same thing over and over. Then I started buying the shakes, weigh formula and taking everything at GNC I could afford just because all the guys in the gym were gaining muscle on top of muscle and I was not going anywhere fast in my body building career, just playing I ' m not a body builder. So after I've taken everything GNC had to offer me and my body has not changed a bit, I decided to change my program, you know less reps heavier weight, read a couple books on exercise motions when lifting, and low and behold nothing

So one day while working out in the gym, a guy who looked like a artist just sculpted him out of a piece of stone and placed him in a fitness magazine for GOODS came in strutting his stuff. So the first thing I did was watch very close at what his secret pot was, he sits his bag down opens it up and pulls out this, this, this bottle of water. Dang it I thought I was on my way to a new body, but he was not done yet, because the very next thing he pulled out was it; it was this beautiful glass bottle nothing that a gym rat would usually have in his bag! Well any hoo I walked over so I could get a better glimpse of what it was, it was a purplish color, and the bottle said XANGO! And I was the same night ordering this wonderful beverage!

When I first tasted it I was shocked at how good it was, it was like no other taste in the world "DELICIOUS"! and here I am 3 months later a lean mean muscle machine!

What is the most important concern a buyer has when looking for a new ATV or motorcycle accessory? Fitment. Afterall, if an accessory or part doesn’t fit your bike, its nearly useless! It also provides a great risk – not all installation instructions or boxes clearly say what an accessory fits, so a buyer also risks damaging the product trying to install it. However, every box an item comes in from the powersports industry should have a part number, usually the manufacturer’s part number (MPN) (though sometimes the distributor has their own). Whats so important about that tiny little number? Its the key to every bit of information of your new product.

The MPN is important in several aspects of your journey in buying a new bike accessory. A wonderful thing about most shopping websites is that most require an item’s MPN to be posted. If you come across an E-bay listing in which the item claims to be a certain brand, particularly an OEM brand, if you do not see the MPN somewhere, use caution! When you buy an item, the MPN/SKU on the invoice should generally match the MPN on the listing, and the MPN/SKU on the invoice should also match the MPN on the item’s packaging when you receive it. It never hurts to cross reference an MPN on the manufacturer’s website with the MPN on a listing. You can double check the fitment and any other items required for installation.

However, an MPN is not just a simple key – its a foreign word. Its a coded number and every manufacturer has their own code, but with a bit of research and some basic understanding of how MPN’s are sometimes coded can help you make sure you are getting what you intend to.

Some MPN’s are a random string of numbers and letters. I have found this common with Arctic Cat OEM products, Dynatek, and a few other brands. Some MPN’s are a code, however, in which nearly every number or letter stands for something. For example, HMF has an excellent code. Take the MPN H400EXSARC2 from HMF Exhausts. H stands for Honda, 400EX stands for the model, S stands for slip-on, A stands for Aluminum, R stands for Round (vs Elliptical), and C2 for Color – Black Chrome. Just by looking at the HMF MPN, you can figure out exactly what that item is and every variance. Other MPNs have strings of numbers or letters for each model or type of an item. 1. If there isn’t an MPN posted in a listing, ask for one. If a seller can’t provide an MPN, then chances are, they might not know what they are selling. This is common with surplus e-commerce stores.
2. Cross reference the MPN with the manufacturer’s website – most manufacturers can be found by a simple Google search. If the manufacturer’s don’t allow a search by MPN, call them! Its rare that a manufacturer’s customer service isn’t courteous and helpful when looking for an item. With the cross reference, double-check the fitment and color, and look for any additional information such as other required items for installation and warranty.
3. Use the MPN to look for other listings that may be cheaper or have better policies.
4. Make sure the MPN’s match between the listing, the invoice, and the packaging. Sometimes a distributor or a seller will have their own SKU – thats okay, just double-check with them to make sure it is the right item for the MPN you ordered.
5. Save the MPN once you’ve received the item – this will be important in case the item is defective, if you want to order other accessories for it later, or if you decide to exchange or re-sell it.

Always be an educated customer. If a seller finds this annoying, then they are not there to serve you! The best sellers and stores will appreciate your own research and knowledge. A better relationship can be formed that will benefit you – whether you become one of their favored customers, or as a protective barrier from being cheated.

Design Consideration for Dry Riser:

1. In dry riser pipe work and fittings should be of Galvani wrought steel and pipe work should be joined by screwing

2. Changes in pipe’s direction should be made with standard bends rather than elbows

3. Dry riser should have a nominal bore of 100 millimeter where only one outlet is provided on each floor. If two outlets are provided on any level on any one riser the main should have a nominal bore of 150 millimeter

4. Each riser should be provided with a 25 millimeter drain valve at the lowest point of the pipe work. When drain valve is not in use, it should be strapped and padlocked

5. An appropriate automatic air release valve should be fitted at the highest point in each rising main to allow the pressurised air in the pipe to discharge when water is pumped in.
